Dear friend and ‘York neighbour’
Please come and join us on Friday mornings between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm for Coffee/Tea and biscuits and a chat.
There is much going on in the world at present ranging from wars, and rumours of wars to our schoolchildren not knowing what gender they are!
Politicians promise much but seem to deliver little real change, and often it can seem like things are steadily getting worse.
We are a Bible believing, Bible proclaiming church, and the Bible has much to say about where we come from, why we are here, and where we are going.
It tells us too about why world events are as they are, and why there seems to be increasing weather problems and increasing wars, suffering and death.
If you have concerns about anything that is going on in the world at present and it makes you feel worried and maybe even a little fearful, then you are not alone. There are many of us that can feel that way.
If you have any day-to-day concerns about life in general, the passage of time, the speed of change and the onset of age and infirmity, and perhaps loneliness then please just come along for company.
We do not pretend to have all the answers but a problem shared is a problem halved, and maybe we can offer a listening ear and some company, friendship and encouragement.
We would welcome an opportunity to share something of our Christian faith and would liKe to give short 10-minute presentation at the end of the proceedings to serve as a ‘thought’ for the day, week or even month ahead.
There will be no charge for anything.
We will be really pleased to welcome you into our Church for a cup of coffee/tea and a conversation.
